a set of 4 old antique Empire Saber leg chairs. They are a very sturdy set of chairs with the original finish on the wood. Beautiful graceful saber legs, curved seat back with crotched mahogany top rails. These are an early set of chairs with normal wear but very sturdy sound chairs. Take note of some veneer chipping on the front apron of one chair and an old repair on the same chair as well as a small chip on the front foot, all shown in pics. The upholstery has wear and would be best if recovered with new fabric. They are sound enough to be used as is but are great candidates for restoration to pristine with only cosmetic work needed to do so. They each stand 34.25" high and are 18.5" wide by 18.5" in depth with the seats sitting 17.5" from the floor
