19th Century Knock down Wardrobe in Solid Tiger Maple wood. This is a
very large heavy knock down wardrobe armoire from around the mid 1800's.
It breaks down for transport and was made to be able to take up narrow
stairways to the upper floors in need of closet space. This one has a
single mirror door over 2 drawers on the base. It has wainscot panels
front and sides with fluted crest on the very ornate top section. The
four high ball finials can be removed. It stand on thick ball feet.
Great tiger maple grain throughout not captured well in the lighting of
the photographs. It is very heavy , sound and sturdy when assembled. You
will need a large room with high ceilings. It stand 94" high with the
finials intact and is 60.5" wide by 23.5" in depth. Very large size,
rare design, and in very good condition. The mirror glass has been
replaced. Hand cut dove tail joinery & chamfered wainscot panel on front
and sides..
